FURTHER INFO
Jerry L. Minshall was born and raised on a farm near Kirksville, Missouri. The Santa Fe railway ran close by, which accounts for those historic American streamliners roaring through his novels. As a graduate of Truman State University, he became a schoolteacher, songwriter, and professional singer, which eventually led to a career in broadcasting. That started at KIRX Radio in Kirksville. Jerry worked at several premier radio stations in Kansas and Tennessee. Those include KFRM-KICT, Wichita-Salina; and in Nashville, WSIX, WLAC, WWTN-FM, and WSM, home of the legendary Grand Ole Opry. He lives with his beautiful wife Jan in Nashville. They have three children, six grandchildren, and three great-children.
